Be The Good

Good morning everyone,

Thank you again for being a part of our amazing team, and doing the work you do, day in and day out. We appreciate you so much, and we couldn’t do what we do without you!

For those of you who were not able to make it to our Christmas Party on Friday we introduced to everyone our new “Be The Good” program.

GSCC has opened a benevolence fund in order to bless those who are so deserving of it. We know that as an organization, and a community we can do even more to serve those in need.

Every quarter we will pick a family that could you this blessing. We will create a nomination form for you to nominate a family that may need this assistance. We have picked our first family to bless and below you can find their story:

“At Good Shepherd we all play a part in each patient’s life. In October, this patient came in, hopeful we could help her. Her past was traumatic and while it could make sense to give up, she remained hopeful that she could overcome her past and become better for herself and her children. She bravely gave up substances and self-harm years ago because her only desire was to be a good Mom because her mom was never good to her. She came into our building many times, shoeless because her feet hurt, and she gave all she had to her children. Fast forward to December and the improvements she has made are substantial because we instilled hope in her by listening and caring. This is what Good Shepherd represents, helping those who just need a little help and hope. “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” – Desmund Tutu
