Pharmacy Changes Effective 01/03/23

Team,

I hope you had a restful and reflective New Year holiday. As we start the new year, I wanted to inform you about some changes to our pharmacy pricing structure. After a formal valuation, it was determined that we need to make some adjustments that may have negative impacts on our patients. While it is never easy to make changes like these, it is important to remember that our primary goal is to provide the best healthcare to our patients.

Please note that some prices will remain the same, while others may increase or decrease. These changes will affect both our insured and Sliding Fee Discount patients, and will go into effect on Tuesday when patients are once again responsible for meeting their deductibles.

I want to assure you that the leadership team at GSCC did our best to keep costs as low as possible for our patients and to simplify workflows in the pharmacy. We understand that these changes may be frustrating for our patients and that the pharmacy and patient access teams may bear the brunt of their frustration. However, I ask that all of us offer support and encouragement to these teams as they navigate this transition.

Medical team members: Mindy and Dr. C will provide any additional information you may need.

Patient access team: Madison and Josh will address any changes to workflows and communication with patients.

Pharmacy team: Thank you for your positivity and professionalism as you work with frustrated patients.

Everyone else: Please show grace and support to the pharmacy team and reassure our patients that we are here for them and that we care about their wellbeing.
