Enable TEAMS Read Receipt!

It has come to my attention that some TEAMS accounts are set up incorrectly, and don’t allow for a “read receipt”.  Since we use TEAMS as an “instant” way to communicate with one another, it is important that we see who has “read” each message, so that we know everyone has received the message.  This also helps us to identify if we need to go to someone else to resolve an issue, if we notice the message continues to be un-read.

Please take a moment to make sure your TEAMS account has the READ RECEIPT enabled.  Here are instructions below:

  • Click on the Account circle (has initals or a picture in it)

  • Click on “MANAGE ACCOUNT”

  • Click on “PRIVACY TAB”

  • Ensure the READ RECEIPTS is enabled (see highlighted screen shot below):

NEW YEAR - NEW PTO PROCEDURES!

As we are preparing to close out 2022 and welcome in 2023, I wanted to remind everyone that beginning January 1, 2023 you will NO LONGER be able to borrow UN-accrued PTO. You will only be able to use the PTO that you have accrued to date. So if you do not have enough PTO to cover an absence it WILL be UNPAID and will likely be considered abuse of PTO. So plan your absences carefully so that you have plenty to last the entire year. Don’t forget! You can rollover PTO annually until your PTO balance reaches 216 hours. Please contact Katie Luttrell, or myself for questions about PTO balances.

Fri-YAY! - Team Pep Rally THIS WEEK!

Hey-O, Sheeps!

Friday can’t come soon enough! I am excited to see you all and learn together!

As a reminder, this time around we will be utilizing the old high school on Washington Street. We will be eating lunch in the "gym” which is the building that Confetti’s used to be located in behind the theater. If you still do not know what building I mean, just be on the lookout for some GSCC signs!

After lunch, we will walk down the brick road to the Washington Theater, where we will have the rest of our fun - which includes all kinds of surprises!

Parking will be in the Trinity Baptist Church parking lot across the street from the theater.

If you have any questions, please teams me!

See you soon!

SEPTEMBER & SOCK WARS!

Hey, Sheeps!

For the month of September, the GSCC’s Social Media Marketing is going to be focused on COMMUNITY (hence the Building a Healthy Oklahoma tees)! See what we did there?

So, as a way to give back to our community we are bringing back our SOCK WARS Challenge!

New Here? Have NO clue what I am talking about?

Did you know that socks are one of the most needed but least donated items?

So to help, we are hosting our 2nd Annual Sock Wars Sock Drive.

Think of a normal sock drive and then forget the NORMAL! This is a BATTLE! The GSCC will be divided into three teams, MEAP/Bloom/Bunker/Bunker Dungeon, Twelfth, and Walnut.

To win, your team will have to collect the most pairs of socks! The socks can be any style, any size, for anyone, as long as they are brand new and in the package! For the month of September, collection boxes will be set up at each location and will be tallied every Friday afternoon, with results posted weekly here on the Herd That (see chart on bottom of Herd That homepage)! Winners will be announced October 1st!

We understand that not all of the teams are evenly matched, so, to level the playing field (and increase the GSCC’s community presence) we are welcoming your use of social media to invite your friends to help your team out! Just be sure to share our page in the process! If you want to be even more awesome, let me know when your pals are bringing socks by, or snap a picture and send it to me! The more people see how great we are, the more they will want to be a part of what we do!

All socks collected will be donated to the Salvation Army Shelter, and Community Youth Services.

GOOD LUCK AND MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Life Lessons with Boss Lady

It is 3:55a and I am awake. I have been up since 1:45a, I couldn’t sleep. It happens sometimes and I am sure it does to you as well. So many things on our minds…work, home, family, friends…our crazy world, gas prices, what’s for dinner, oh geeze we are out of trash bags, is Fall ever going to get here, I really need new tires, Christmas is in 17 weeks!…on and on. It is often the things that make us anxious that keep us up past our bedtimes or like me, cause us to wake up in the middle of the night worried about things that I probably have no control over anyway so why am I up??!!! How about you…do you have a lot on your mind today? I certainly do.
